Hi there! My name is Anne, and I would like to welcome you to my little corner of the web.
I am passionate about animal welfare and environmental issues, especially threats facing our oceans and marine life. I have a nine year old Papillon named Jack who I rescued when I was in college. He is a funny, silly, smart, weird little dog who I love like crazy. I also have a rescued two year old Pomeranian named Teddy who thinks he may be a cat and doesn’t understand why I won’t let him chase raccoons.
I’m no Martha Stewart, but that doesn’t mean I don’t try! I love to play around with new ways to reuse “junk” to make my home warm and inviting. Plus, my crafty endeavors mean that I’m helping the planet by not buying more stuff. I’ve also been known to whip up delicious meals and desserts from time to time, but at my house cooking or baking is really the exception rather than the rule.
After moving around quite a bit, I’ve landed in Maryland – just outside of DC – and I’ve really fallen in love with my adopted state. I blog about my home, cooking, crafting, the dogs, social media, fun stuff I’ve done, books, movies, TV, and anything else that catches my fancy. It’s a little bit of everything, and none of it’s perfect, but that’s life.
When I’m not here, I’m working in social media for a large nonprofit. Want to learn more about how your business or nonprofit can use social media? Drop me a line, I’d love to help.
